Located at the edge of the Peak District near the historic market town of Ashbourne our two luxurious 5 star historic self-catering cottages are the perfect location to explore the many attractions in the area. We are within 30 minutes of Ashbourne, Bakewell, Matlock, Matlock Bath, Buxton and the Derwent heritage trail where you can enjoy sightseeing, walking, cycling, climbing, pony trekking, golf, quad bikes, paint balling and more. The historic houses of Chatsworth, Haddon, Hardwick, Sudbury and Kedleston Halls are close by. Carsington Water is on the doorstep for water sports, cycle hire and bird spotting; there are many cycle trails to be traversed and fabulous walks to enjoy in the picturesque Derbyshire Dales. Steam Railway and Tramway museums close by. Alton Towers theme and water park just 35 minutes.
Each luxury cottage can sleep from 12 to 16 plus 2 cots. At Billys Bothy there are 5 en suite bedrooms available with an option of a 6th also en suite, and at Hillside Croft there 5 bedrooms one of which is en suite and a master bathroom. Both are beautifully fitted and furnished to a high standard and are full of ancient beams and features, both have cosy wood burning stoves plus full central heating. Full, well equipped kitchens with separate lounge and dining rooms. Large landscaped gardens in rural surroundings with beautiful views over pastureland and woodland. BBQ’s, patios and WIFI at both cottages. Meals and pampering plus themed evenings are available on request.
Sauna on site at Billy Bothy, horses can be securely accommodated at both cottages. Small corporate event facilities are available. Private off road car parking.
Each cottage sleeps from 12 – 16 + 2cots. Cottages are 4 miles apart.
Short breaks weekend and mid weeks are available.
