As July 2019 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landings, a workshop with the theme of Memories and the Moon is happening before the Poetry in the Garden.
The outcome of this workshop would produce the content for the first half of the event and before the stage would be turned over to an open mic where slots (booked in advance) will be open to all.
Memories and The Moon
A creative writing event for 8-80 year olds organised and administered by Writing East Midlands. A professional poet will work with a group of up to 25 local writers. The workshop will enable older writers to pass on memories of the moon landings to the next generation and inspire a range of new work from both groups; either as individual pieces or group performance pieces.
